An Inconvenient Truth and the trip to the American Museum of Natural History
My report on my trip to the American Museum of Natural History is basically based on global warming. The information I found at the museum is how the ice cores record the climate from 115,000 years back. Also how the layers in the ice cores tells us how the climate increases over the years. How the solar radiation warms the Earth's surface and how it is radiated back to the atmosphere where it is trapped in the greenhouse gases. I have learned what are the causes of global warming and how it is dramatically have changed over the years. The information and diagrams were clear on global warming on what was the difference between now and then. The connection I have made between on what I have saw at the museum from the film An Inconvenient Truth is both described global warming and how it is affecting our environment and how it dramatically changed. I have found the museum more believe able because you can see for yourself how the climate has changed and how it is affecting us. Even though the film explained it well but it did not made a huge affect on me since I was not experiencing the lecture personally.

Comparing Gnosticism to "Allegory of the Cave" to The Matrix
According to both of the readings of Gnosticism and Allegory of the Cave and the film The Matrix, both are symbolized as basic control over people. And that person in power is forcing others to believe and see only what that person in power wants them to see. As result, they all turn into slaves and prisoners. The prisoners never saw the real reality and has never been outside of the box. All of the readings and the film has the same problem and result. The only thing that was confusing to me was the readings of the Gnosticism and how I can relate it to the others. But, I think I got the basic idea of them all.

The Allegory of the Cave...
The Allegory of the Cave is a story about people that spend all of their lives in a "cave" and only knows part of the truth which is an illusion. In connection to the Matrix, both have the same idea of living in a life that is a lie and finding the harsh reality later on. For example, in the scene where Neo for the first time meet and speak with Morpheus, where Morpheus briefly explains what is the"Matrix" which he stated "the Matrix is a world that was pulled over your eyes". Also, both stories have situations that someone is forcing people to see one thing instead of the reality and making them live in a small box instead of living outside of the box and accept it.

My Review on The Matrix...
The movie The Matrix directed by the Wachowski brothers is a brilliant movie of it's time. The special efforts were incredible and it was first of it's kind to use that type of technology. The kung-fu scenes were enjoyable. So was the story of the movie. This movie has many philosophy and themes. For example, the philosophy of reality and fiction and among others. Plus, there a whole theme of Alice in the Wonderland, Wizard of Oz and the bible. "The program" of the Matrix makes us wonder of the government and how much it abuses its power trying control us and violate our rights. This movie makes us wake up and see the realization on how we define on what is real. Also, the movie shows me how we humans depend on the machines to survive.
